Because of all the new housing after World War II a new Catholic church had been built for 1.000 people. The church has been transformed into a housing complex since 2023.

‘The Seven Provinces’ housing development
The Seven Provinces housing development from 1955 involved seven nine-floor blocks of flats built for the lower incomes. Two have been demolished, the others have been drastically altered in appearance.

After an experiment with the construction system of Welschen more than 5.600 Welschen houses have been built. In Overschie have 1480 Welschen houses been built in districts Welschien 1 t/m 7. Welschen himself wasn't allowed to design the houses, this was done by an 'academic schooled architect'.

Traffic intersection Kleinpolderplein
In the middle of the Northern ringroad at Kleinpolderplein a traffic intersection of four levels arose in 1971.
